Cambodia Prince Chenzhi

Neak Oknha Chen Zhi of  Prince Group Cambodia

Neak Oknha Chen Zhi, Prince Group Chairman – Mystery Cambodian tycoon

Neak Oknha Chen Zhi is the chairman of Prince Group. Little information is available about him as it looks like he likes to keep a low profile. What is known is that he is the leader and visionary behind Prince Group, one of Cambodia’s fastest growing business groups.

Amazingly, in spite of his extensive business interests in Cambodia ChenZhi seems to be keeping a low profile, save for an official Twitter and LinkedIn account, which are most likely managed by people under his employ.

Chen Zhi's official profiles on the internet include the following:

Known interchangeably as Cambodia ChenZhi, Prince ChenZhi or even Cambodia Prince ChenZhi, this business leader is of Chinese origin and later naturalized as a Cambodian citizen. In 2010, he visited Cambodia and met with Prime Minister Hun Sen.

His leadership of Prince Real Estate has resulted in the construction of many ventures in both Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville, Cambodia.

Notable developments include the Prince Plaza Center, the Prince Modern Plaza, the Prince IT Building, and the Prince City Center, in either various stages of construction and renovation, near completion, or already completed.

Prince Group also has a large number of subsidiaries that include Belt Road Capital Management, Prince Bank, Cambodia Airways, Prince Supermarket, Awesome Global Investment Group, and Canopy Sands Development.

Cambodia Prince ChenZhi News

Given the extent of the reach of his businesses, it is not surprisingly that ChenZhi and Prince Group regularly appears on the news, such as the links below:

What we also know is that apart from his business activities, it sounds like he is an active philanthropist.

Last year, Neak Oknha Chen Zhi personally agreed to donate USD $3 million to help Cambodia purchase 1 million COVID-19 vaccines and also offered support when Cambodia was hit by severe floods. Recently, Chen Zhi and Prince Group have committed yet another USD $3 million to combat the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Cambodia.

He has also donated a substantial amount of money to set up the Prince Horology Vocational Training Center, which offers various full and partial scholarship placements for talented Cambodian students looking to learn the fine art of luxury watchmaking. Can ‘Made in Cambodia’ watches be as good as the ones made in Switzerland and Japan? It looks like Prince Group's Chen Zhi wants them to be.

Prince ChenZhi is also highly supportive of sports development in Cambodia, with Prince Group announcing its support for the Cambodian national volleyball team that will compete in the next SEA games in 2023. Prince Group donated $500,000 to the Cambodia Volleyball Federation and paid for an all-expense trip for 21 Cambodian volleyball players for a two-month training programme in Fujian in China. Afterwards, they also recruited a volleyball coach to help the team get better. Volleyball is not a sport that Cambodians are known for but the country rarely wins in team sports and it would be nice if they could secure a bronze at least.

Arrival of Cambodia ChenZhi

While little is known about Chen Zhi's emergence in Cambodia, it appears that he has good connections with people at all levels of Cambodian society, allowing him to develop great relationships and work on large-scale projects and initiatives that have spread not only across Cambodia but also globally.

Despite the fact that Prince ChenZhi prefers to work behind the scenes and likes to keep out of the limelight, he and Prince Group have launched over 240 charity events in recent years.

When Chen Zhi is not actively involved in Prince Group's banking, aviation, retail, or real estate businesses, his Prince Charitable Foundation is ostensibly the most active component of the Group.

Chen Zhi and Prince Group have also contributed to the creation of new jobs for Cambodians by establishing large-scale projects such as the construction of Ream City, a $16 billion megaproject in Sihanoukville that would build a city from the ground up across 834 hectares.

Ream City will be built on reclaimed land and would transform the area by adding modern, high-quality civic and recreational amenities like as malls, hospitals, landed residences, hotels, restaurants, coastal resorts, beach villas, and beaches, among other things.

If his plans are successful and Prince Group keeps building and growing at the pace that they're going at, then it won’t be long until Neak Oknha Chen Zhi of Prince Group becomes a household name in Cambodia.
